Wildlife Tales From the Costa Rica Rainforest

Tulu Azul Sloth relaxing

If you consult the endless travel websites on “where to see wildlife in Costa Rica,” you’ll most likely read about Corcovado, Manuel Antonio and the Osa Peninsula, in general. But did you know that you’re very likely to spot monkeys, toucans, macaws, pizotes and even a sloth at one of our luxury vacation villas in southern Costa Rica!?

We often have guests tell us they saw more wildlife at their villa than on a tour at a national park. From massive whale sightings from the pool deck to spotting the teeny-tiny blue-jeans frog out on a hike, there’s no limit to what you might see while vacationing at one of our many spectacular villas.

Here are some wildlife sightings straight from our guests’ reviews:

Ballena Royale

We had a sloth visiting the property, tons of birds, butterflies and heard the monkeys every morning.

We got to see toucans, macaws, sloths, blue butterflies, coati (just don’t feed it or any other animals!), and monkeys without leaving the property.
