Fly fishing is now available on the Savegre River! This intimate tour includes a raft fishing boat for two participants, with a certified rafting guide leading the adventure about a dozen kilometers upstream. Ideal for physically-fit anglers of all skill levels, there are a pair of comfortable swivel seats, one in the front of the raft and one in the back, with all fly-fishing equipment included (or you can pack your own gear as well). You’ll be on the hunt for machaca, a catch-and-release fish that is part of the piranha family, as well as snook, snapper, Pacific grunt and a few other local species. The tour is ideal for two people, but oftentimes a second guided raft can be added to accommodate two more anglers.

On this tour, we often see various species of birds, crabs, monkeys, snakes, and with a little luck, a crocodile may appear on the riverbanks.
