In 2006, the founders of YouGetHere discovered the Dominical area, and fell in love. This hidden corner of Costa Rica’s Southern Zone had something rare: untouched rainforest meeting the Pacific, a slower pace of life, and a beauty that made staying feel inevitable.

What started as a personal love affair with the region quickly revealed a gap in the market. Dominical needed a property management service that owners could actually trust, and travelers needed an upscale vacation rental experience they couldn’t find anywhere else. Drawing on deep hospitality experience, the founders built exactly that: professional property management paired with a curated collection of luxury vacation homes serving guests from around the world.

Over the years, growing a business in this remote and tight-knit region taught them the value of community. They brought together a diverse group of skilled professionals, people who live and work in the Southern Zone and genuinely care about it, and the YouGetHere team grew into something closer to family than a company.
