Located in the heart of the Osa Peninsula, the nine-hole OSA Golf Course is a must-visit for any golfing enthusiast. It’s near the town of Ojochal, where you can also find two of YouGetHere Vacation Rental’s stunning luxury villas: Vista Encanto and Casa En El Cielo.
OSA Golf is open to the public from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The course offers a serene escape at an affordable price, starting as low as $45 to walk nine holes.

OSA Golf course is designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment, offering players a challenging yet rewarding experience.
Construction of the nine-hole course began with a sprawling nursery of paspalum platinum. A hybrid green originally from the coast of Australia. The shiny, dark green grass is ideal for warm coastal courses. Salty ocean breezes and sunshine won’t prove too harsh for the seashore turf grass.
Designed by Canadian architect Dan Lavis, the layout features two par-5’s, six par-4’s and a single par 3. The course fees as of October 2025 are $62 for nine holes with a cart, and $45 for walking nine holes. Renting golf clubs will set you back $28. If you plan to play 18 holes, with a cart, you’re looking at $85. If you decide to get in your 10,000 steps, walking 18 is $57.
Birdies on the Green
While golfing in Costa Rica, you’ll often find yourself sharing the greens with a variety of exotic bird species. From the vibrant scarlet macaws that frequent the fifth hole, to the playful toucans swooping through, this Ojochal air is alive with bird calls and colors.

While you are hopefully sinking birdies on the course, and reveling in the exotic birdies and feathered friends flying overhead, don’t forget to keep an eye out for some quieter visitors as well. As you prepare to tee off on the first hole, keep an eye out for the jaguarundi that frequents this area, hunting for iguanas.
Basically, this course requires focus, an ability to appreciate the wildlife without getting distracted.
Flora on the Fairway

As you progress the fairways, pay attention to the terrain. At holes #1 and #4, you’ll need to heed the creeks, which is crucial for planning your shots. There’s no shortage of sand to trap you in at hole #3, and a rolling slope awaits the flag on the fifth.
