Another huge draw is the incredible wildlife at the property. Native species of iguanas, frogs, crabs, parrots, toucans and the occasional troop of monkeys have been spotted here. And, most beautiful of all, stunning scarlet macaws, Skittles-like in their vibrant appearance, often fly overhead.

You might invite 20 friends to your Costa Rica dream wedding but end up with 25 or more guests depending on how many iguanas show up for the ceremony. All it takes is a few orange peels to coax these locals into arriving, although they’ve been known to struggle a bit with RSVPing.
