Tropical Bliss and the Sounds of the Jungle Await
Laying poolside at Villa Koora, at any moment a pair of scarlet macaws or a couple of toucans could fly overhead. It’s also not uncommon for green, black or Jesus Christ lizards to make their way through the property. The lizards, in particular, love sunning on the deck. We’ve seen deer on the grounds, and all types of species of butterflies. Monkeys and frogs visit, too. You never know.
Nauyaca Waterfall, one of the most impressive sights in the entire country, is very close to Villa Koora. You can visit the falls by foot, on horseback or in the back of a pickup truck. When you’re done doing the waterfall thing, Dominical beach is a 15-minute drive away. There, surfers chase powerful waves while vendors hawk souvenirs along the sand.
