Ballena Royale

We loved every second of our stay at Ballena Royale! This property is amazing, with nothing left to want! The pool/lanai area is where we spent the majority of our time and was so comfortable. We highly recommend opening the large door between the kitchen and deck… such a great addition! The outside shower & tub were awesome as were the two upstairs bedrooms. The groundskeeper was polite and did a great job keeping the property in great shape. We saw Zoë, the sloth, every day during our stay!! Pura Vida!

The house is EVERYTHING that is shown on the pictures!!! Great space for retreating and relaxing. You get there connected us with transportation and activities!!! Just all around a great experience with this house. We will visit again.

This place is absolutely beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. The house was perfect and the host did a great job of always being responsive and accommodating. There was a large storm that hit the day we arrived which caused several power lines to come down. Thankfully the house had solar so the still had all the essentials power wise. They also reimbursed us for 2 nights due to the inconvenience. Overall, this place is more than worth the price and I would highly recommend.

Ballena Royale was an idyllic getaway! We loved the house, the pool, the whole property. It was exactly as the pictures showed and we couldn't be more happy with our choice to go there for a little vacation. Highly recommended and we'd love to return again someday!

This home is absolutely beautiful and is very well manicured. The view of the Whales Tail is amazing. It is secluded on top of a mountain that takes 8 minutes to get to from the main road of Hwy 34. The road to the home can be a bit scary for some people if you’re not used to it but is very easy to drive. My wife and another couple spent 7 days here. Just a few things to note so you are not surprised. The bedrooms are the only rooms that have AC. The AC is not needed because the main part of the house has doors that completely open up the living area and the sea breeze is phenomenal. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. There is a three toed sloth that lives on the property and was there the whole time. We would definitely go there again and gets the full five star from us. Check in was easy as well. Thank you YGH for a very memorable vacation!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Costa Rica and it was such a pleasure to return to this beautiful home at the of each day. The house design complements the beautiful setting and view. We enjoyed all the various sitting areas from the lower level of the pool to the second-floor veranda. The resident sloth made several appearances as well as hummingbirds, frogs, and a cheeky basilisk lizard who can take an early morning sprint across the pool if startled. Jhonnathan helped us check in and was very accommodating. Thank you to everyone involved in keeping this home so very clean and well-kept indoors and out. I would highly recommend and would return to Ballena Royale.

As others have stated, pictures don’t do this place justice… and the pictures are amazing!! Super clean, and a great layout for the whole family. What a view from the pool and patio area and lots of separate areas to just relax. There’s even a resident sloth nearby, see if you can spot him. What a great place.

Couldn't be happier! Don't stress like we did about 8 pm arrival. With a little communication, They couldn't have been more accommodating. The area and Costa Rica (and the PEOPLE) were absolutely AMAZING!

We had a wonderful stay. The house and views were absolutely gorgeous. There is a sloth that lives on the property and we were lucky enough to see him most days. You will need a 4x4 vehicle to access the property. There is a groundskeeper that lives nearby should you need anything. The company was very easy to communicate with. They are a perfect resource should you have questions on how to get from San Jose airport to Dominical.

First time in Costa Rica & this was the perfect Airbnb to stay in. The pictures do not do it justice! You are up on a mountain & the ride up is a little bumpy but so worth it.

This place is amazing! Everything was perfect. The staff was very easy to communicate with and well set up on the Airbnb app. They helped us get a rental car and followed up often to see if we needed anything. Wonderful place, wonderful host

If you were looking for a beautiful, Clean tranquil place to stay a little bit off the grid then you have to stay here! The staff was wonderful and the house has everything you need including laundry detergent for your dirty clothes. Literally, this has everything you need except for food. The pool is beautiful And very well-maintained. Everything is literally five-star! It is an easy 30-minute drive to the beach, local restaurants, and nightlife.

We loved our time at Ballena Royale. It has an incredible view of the ocean and Whales Tail. The outdoor showers and the bathtub were our favorites. Ismael was very helpful during our stay.

Don't look any further. This home was one of the most beautiful gems I've ever vacationer in. You honestly can't get a better view, along with an infinity pool, comfy lounging options, did I mention the VIEW?! 😉 It's breathtaking. The kitchen is well-equipped, as we cooked several meals and used the Private Chef company to cook us dinner and breakfast a couple days. It was AMAZING! Such a friendly group of guys and both were the 2 best meals we had our entire stay! I cannot recommend this home enough. Us, along with our 3 kids LOVED every minute spent there!!

Myself, my wife, my four kids stayed here for 8 days. It was absolutely stunning and we had the time of our lives. In the event, we needed assistance the property manager was nearby and he was very helpful. We would absolutely stay here again and are very grateful for the owner sharing their home.

Such an amazing vacation. The pictures of the house do not do the property justice. Best views by far! Amazing bath tub, amazing amenities and perfect communication from the staff especially with recommendations. All my guests and I were left amazed by our vacation.

Have you ever been to a luxury resort and wished that you were the only ones there? Welcome to Ballena Royale. You will not need to leave this home for your entire stay to enjoy Costa Rica. The view from windows, balcony, pool, palapa, outdoor showers … is breath taking. We've been to Costa Rica three times and stayed at four different luxury home rentals - really nice places. Ballena Royale is the only one that was immaculately clean, stocked with quality items (e.g., kitchen), and where *everything* worked properly. We were so blessed to be able to spend our honeymoon at such a paradise. It was the type of home that you say to yourself, "I want to build my dream home *exactly* like this." We will return!

Ballena Royale is a beautiful and well-maintained property. The reality is every bit as good as the pictures show. An incredible view of the ocean and whale's tail.

The home was beautiful and the rooms were spacious. We loved the outdoor shower and tub of the master bedroom.

The pool was one of the best that we have experienced so far in our 8 years of travelling and visiting the Uvita region.

There is a family that lives on the property and they are the caretakers. Thanks to Adrian and his wife for watching over the place, doing such an excellent job of cleaning and just generally being there for us.

I have stayed in the area many times in some very nice houses and this was the best so far. fabulous view, great pool, first class place and not too far or hard of a drive from highway.

What a beautiful location and fantastic view. The outdoor living area was much appreciated and the design of the pool and grilling area is supberb! We had a fabulous time and appreciated all the exceptional service from your team as well as the care takers! The house was meticulous and very clean. When our refrigerator/freezer stopped working, the caretakers delivered another refrigerator on Christmas Eve. We couldn't thank you all enough. We were able to keep our fish frozen. We had chartered a fishing trip and wanted to preserve the fish. It made it back to Alaska with us!

Ballena Royale was the most incredible house we have ever stayed in. The view is spectacular and there is tons of wildlife constantly passing through. There is a sloth who lives in the tree directly outside the master bedroom who we saw every day. Howler monkeys came by most mornings, and there was a coati that showed up quite a few times. I would recommend Ballena Royale to anyone looking for an incredible tropical experience. It is very close distance to Dominical and Uvita. We were able to get to Uvita to go scuba diving in roughly 10 minutes and about the same to Dominical to have dinner at Fuego and spend time on the beach. Stay at Ballena Royal! You will not be disappointed!
