Every bedroom on the property has a king-size bed and air conditioning (one bedroom, referred to as The Loft, features an additional full bed). The primary bedroom is a masterpiece of design where guests can see the infinity swimming pool and Pacific Ocean without lifting the bedsheets off their torsos. Or, even better, slip into the primary’s en-suite bath-tub and take in the jungle view while submerged in soapy bubbles.

We mentioned The Loft. That’s another bedroom, located slightly off to the side of the main area, with a unique design. With both king and queen beds, The Loft can host four guests. For the remaining bedrooms, a single guest or couple works best.

Villa Aura has capacity for 20 guests total, making it one of the largest vacation villas in the region and an ideal landing spot for grandiose groups of family and friends. Parking-wise, there’s space for up to eight 4-wheel-drive vehicles on the grounds.

From the immaculate infinity swimming pool, guests can look directly down on the south end of Dominical beach, checking the surfing conditions, wind and weather patterns as the lively Costa Rica climate does its dance each day. Here, the sunsets are spectacular, a mix of orange, red, yellow and blue hues that melt minds and send social media followers into a frenzy.

There are also sloths, toucans, macaws, parrots, frogs, butterflies, coatis and a host of other animals that visit around the area, but they all get a free pass since they aren’t humans.

As mentioned, Dominical beach is a 3-minute drive away. There are bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, a pharmacy and a large grocery store in town. Dominical is one of Costa Rica’s premier surfing beaches, with powerful waves and plenty of surf schools on offer. If smaller, mellow waves are what you fancy, head south a few minutes to Dominicalito beach, a stunning cove with gentle peelers rolling through. Both beaches are great for in-shore fishing as well. Locals can often be found casting lines at the Dominical rivermouth or under the Baru Bridge, where catching snook is a right of passage.

Furthermore, there are a pair of epic waterfalls nearby (Nauyaca and Chontales), as well as a slew of thrilling outdoor activities including river rafting, ziplining, snorkeling, kayaking, boat and catamaran tours, waterfall rappelling and parasailing. Hiking in the area is epic as well.
