The sounds of the jungle can tickle your eardrums with delight, but it’s the otherworldly colors that will really blow you away.
Welcome to Casa Koora, where an azul ocean and turquoise furnishings mix seamlessly with pumpkin-orange sunsets and a forest-green mountainside backdrop. It’s like staying in a real-life version of Van Gogh’s “Fishing Boats on the Beach” paintings, except with modern amenities and wireless internet.
With 3 bedrooms all featuring en-suite bathrooms and outstanding ocean views, Casa Koora is a choice vacation villa for medium-sized groups of friends and family members. The rooms are all very private, with air-conditioning units and king beds. No one has to be stuck in a room that isn’t on par with the others in the villa.
The house is located less than 10 minutes from the southern Pacific Costa Rican town of Uvita. There are a number of excellent restaurants, beaches and tour activities all within a 20-minute drive of the front door. And the area has everything — sport fishing, surfing, kayaking, river rafting, horseback riding, waterfall hiking and ATV riding being among the most popular activities for our guests to partake in.
Casa Koora was completed in April 2019 and is absolutely immaculate.
A 4×4-only road leads you to a gated entrance, and the house is just another minute up the pathway. When you park, you’ll immediately notice a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and jungle canopy to the northeast. At any moment a white-face monkey or a toucan can go whizzing by — it’s just that type of place.
The ocean-facing side of the villa has a nice swimming pool measuring approximately 35 feet by 15 feet. There is a shallow end for kids and water-tanners. The rest of the outdoor space is super inviting, with rocking chairs, tables and loungers. This is the place to be when you’re not busy catching 18-foot marlin or swimming with sea turtles.
Meandering through the villa, there’s a large flat-screen television with SKY satellite in the living room and a dining table with seating for eight between there and the kitchen.
And would your mother be proud of this kitchen.
Spotless is the word, really, with brand-new appliances and everything you’d need to prep a perfect tropical dish. The island in the center, featuring a four-burner stove, center grill and bar stools, is where the serious conversations start between coffee, smoothies and wine bottles.
Casa Koora is also equipped with high-speed internet, filtered and drinkable water, a washer and dryer unit, dishwasher and an extra half bathroom, for a total of 3 ½ bathrooms in the house. The villa is overseen by YouGetHere Property Management, whose staff will be available to assist with checking in and out of the villa, scheduling tours, in-home chef and massage recommendations, and car rental and shuttle contacts.
When you’re ready to see the world as you’ve never seen it, come to Casa Koora for the vacation of a lifetime.
