Osa Mini Golf is the perfect outdoor family activity near Uvita & Dominical

Osa Mini Golf is the newest Outdoor Family Activity in the Dominical Area.

Osa Mini-Golf is the newest, coolest family activity here in the Uvita and Dominical area.

The old, classic game of Putt-Putt has finally arrived in our beachy jungle town! The mini-golf course features 18 holes, all designed to be unique and challenging in their own way, so you may never tire of this beautifully designed course.

At a time when everyone is searching for outdoor activities the entire family can enjoy, Osa Mini-Golf is the perfect option. While the area near Dominical has some great activities for kids, this is one of the few you can do on the fly.  Reservations are not required. Unlike many other popular activities in the area, you can drop in when the weather permits or you feel your game is at its best. But if you want to bring a large group, or better yet, throw a big birthday bash here, you will need to plan a bit in advance. The location offers lots of tables and seating, photo ops, fun and they will even order a cake for your celebration!

The Costa Rican wildlife theme, bright colors, lush plants and flowers landscaped throughout Osa Mini-Golf make this course equally appealing for those looking for beautiful scenery and bonding time, as those looking for legit putting practice and competition.

It’s one of the few activities that every family member can participate in together and enjoy. And for those looking to show off superior putting skills, we suggest you inquire about the Hole-in-one-Challenge to win a free game. In true Costa Rica fashion, the challenge here is avoiding water hazards.

Osa Mini Golf is the newest outdoor family activity in Uvita.

Many of the holes at Osa Mini-Golf feature colorfully painted Costa Rica wildlife sculptures. In addition to the tricky terrain you must navigate to complete this jungle trek, you’ll encounter a sculpture of the highly poisonous Blue Jeans Poison Dart Frog, placed dangerously in the center of the green. Another local animal waiting for you on the course, clearly looking to throw you off par, is the mischief-making White Faced Capuchin Monkey.

Not every animal that awaits is a dangerous one, but they all pose a challenge.

You’ll cross the path of the gentle Tapir and a hungry Anteater, both equipped with long snouts that could spell trouble for your golf ball on the fairway and even cost you the game.  A sleepy sloth unintentionally sprawls across much of one green, blocking all your avenues to the hole, in a blissful state of pura vida. Finally, the giant ocean tortoise we mentioned above looms at what must be the most difficult hole on the course, where only the soft-touch of an uber-expert-putter could prevail.

The Osa Mini-Golf course is easy to access and located in Uvita, 50 meters past the Pizza Time Restaurant, on the main Costanera Highway. The entrance to the course is marked with a large sign in front, noting where to turn off the highway.

As of early 2022, the price to play is just $6 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. The current hours of operation are Monday – Friday 12 pm-8 pm (may close early due to weather) and Saturday – Sunday from 10 am – 8 pm (may close early due to weather).
