We stayed at Casa Pura Vida in Dominical and the property was just fantastic! It's nestled in the rainforest with perfect view of the Pacific Ocean out front! More than that, the manager, Neil, was amazing at making our stay most enjoyable. He had the best suggestions on where to go, where to eat, and even sent us to beaches and waterfalls that were totally private and exclusive. He also made it easy to find the property (a rare treat when traveling in a country with limited signage) and was even prepared with driving directions back to the airport. He did a great job in helping us pick the type of adventures we wanted to go on while we were there. We truly enjoyed our week-long stay (it wasn't long enough!) and saw more wildlife in the backyard than we did anywhere else. It was a truly magical experience that was managed expertly.

The House was Absolutely Beautiful!
The Location was Perfect. Secluded with Privacy but a Short distance away from Great Food, Super Markets & Awesome Beaches! We spent a Week at this tropical Paradise & used everything that the house had to offer. The Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could ever need to make a delicious Meal. The Refreshing Pool had the most incredible views over looking the Jungle! Stephen & Josue were excellent at communicating with any issues we had or Booking the Tours we wanted. Thank You for making our trip to Costa Rica a Special one!

Couldn't have picked a better house or location!!
My husband and I stayed at Tres Perlas with two other couples, no children with us, as a reunion with friends. We are all in our 40s and traveled from all different states and countries, never have been to Costa Rica before. Countless hours were spent doing research but in the end it's a leap of faith! We all decided that we not only got the perfect house for our first Costa Rica experience but we also chose the perfect area to stay in for an authentic Pura Vida! The house was a relaxing as you wanted it to be. The bedrooms were inviting, easly sleeping three couples with king beds in each room. The kitchen was well appointed which were were happy with since we all like to cook. The AC in the bedrooms was great for a cool nights sleep. We never had a problem with the WiFi. I pool was the cleanest and most refreshing pool that I have ever experienced. The ride up to the house was a little out of my comfort zone the first night, mostly because it was pouring down raining in the dark. But after that I began to look forward to it!! The house was very clean and the pool guy and the house cleaner were very very friendly and professional. The property managers were responsive and everything worked very smoothly. They provided directions from San Jose that were valid enough to not get us lost. We were even provided info on where to grocery shop and points of interest along the way. The town of Dominical was exactly what we were looking to experience, very local but with enough to keep us happy! We even took surfing lessons. And Uvita is only 15 minutes up the road which boasts the National Park of Whale's Tale. The Nauyaca Waterfall is a short drive away and it totally worth the hike! Plus there is a smalller "neighborhood" waterfall that the locals go to that is within walking distance of Tres Perlas.
I want to say more about our incredible experience in Costa Rica and at Tres Perlas but I will run out of space! I would not hesitate coming back here or recommending this property or this location. Everyone in our group has traveled the world extensively and we collectively said that this was well worth the wait and that we definitely want to come back!
( BTW. ..visiting in August was rainy in the late afternoons/evenings, but it was dark by 6 anyway. We still went out and had dinner at local places and relaxed under the beautiful roof of this house listening to the rain fall)

Beautiful home with an equally beautiful view!
Words truly can't describe the beauty, serenity and comfort of Tres Perlas! We just returned from a fabulous Costa Rican adventure with our three children (15, 13, 11) and without a doubt, this incredible home exceeded all expectations. Fully stocked with every amenity you could possibly need, Tres Perlas is not to be missed! Nestled in the jungle with a spectacular view, we felt grateful to return back to the villa, take a dip in the beautiful pool and relax after a long day of either surfing, hiking or exploring the surrounding area. Whether it was taking in the beauty of the blooming Mayo trees, following the howler monkeys as they moved from tree to tree or spotting a colorful toucan, you couldn't ask for a more scenic and serene spot.

Far more than was expected.
My family and I expected a place from which we could venture into a land we'd never experienced. That was realized. What was not imagined was that the place we rested from our adventures would itself play a role in our amazing experience in Costa Rica. We chose, to spend two days of our week-long stay just being at the property. Positioned in Costa Rica's dramatic landscape with the natural fauna and inhabitants showing themselves as if we were watching a movie screen, being at Tres Perlas far surpassed anything we'd imagined.

Spiritual retreat
Love this house and the people who own it! Highly recommend it to anyone seeking a place to coexist with nature. House has folding doors that are wide open to the outside. The pool is beautiful, the rooms are awesome and the bathrooms are perfect! The kitchen is amazing and so open to outside and Jessica is pure of heart and an amazing chef!! Monkeys are right there to be admired and to coexist with them. So cool! GO!

Gorgeous house nestled in the trees
Had the most amazing experience staying in this house. The house is gorgeous and in the middle of the forest like a treehouse. Spend the day listening to cicadas and mornings listening to howler monkeys. The view is amazing. Fabulous kitchen and the bed was so very comfortable. Loved floating in the pool and checking out the view. Can't wait to come again and again! Pure relaxation --the owner Jessica is just the best!

We just got back from renting this villa. This was absolutely one of the best and most relaxing vacations we have every had. The home is gorgeous. You wake up with the jungle everyday. We saw monkeys, birds, and many other cool animals. The villa is in a great location. We were able to horseback ride into water falls, zip line in the jungle, spend the day at beautiful beaches and enjoy cooking at home or go out to wonderful dinners. The town has it all. Locals are helpful and friendly. We would defiantly rent this villa again

It's like staying in a treehouse with awesome amenities
Some friends and I stayed here for a surf trip and it was so chill. The layout is perfect for a group, the kitchen is big with everything you need (blender, rice cooker, a huge grill), plenty of bedrooms (ridiculously comfortable mattresses) and bonus rooms, there's a spacious dining room table that was made from a local tree and several comfortable chairs along with a huge custom made couch. The house opens up and every room overlooks the Pacific ocean. You can go from the pool to the kitchen to the deck without worry, as it's designed to support a carefree lifestyle. Like most of the houses in the area it's perched on the side of a hill so you feel like you are living in a tree house with awesome amenities. It's close to town and there are some interesting local watering hole haunts to be found nearby. We go on an annual surf trip and we've already rebooked this house for next year, it was that spot on. The house managers were super helpful, one of the guys in our party had to get a document notarized to solve an issue back in the US (teenaged son with an impounded car) and they were able to hook him up with a local lawyer immediately. He didn't even miss a surf session. If you are looking at staying in Domincal, don't miss this place. It's solid.

Wonderful Experience
The house was a beautiful experience; the view is breathtaking, the grounds delightfully designed, the kitchen perfectly designed for cooking socializing during a meal, the deck and pool simply perfect. I am counting the days until I can return.
We shared amazing sunsets, grilling on the deck, amazing wildlife, and butterflies that I couldn't even imagine. We saw a sloth up close, enjoyed the waterfall at the base of the mountain, and that it was so conveniently located within minutes of the beach really made the experience nothing less than perfect.

Fantastic vacation
I loved this house. What a great location. The Pacific Ocean to the west with a thick canopy of famous Costa Rica rainforest in the foreground. So much to see! Though here to surf , I found hanging on the deck or in the pool was oftentime a favorite way to spend an afternoon siesta time. The house and the pool are perfect. Elegant clean lines , open fresh air. The first night I slept SO soundly. Love the howler monkeys in the forest nearby. Great house for really feeling like you see Costa Rica

Tres Perlas is gorgeous!
My family and I ( 4 adults and 3 teens) had a fantastic Christmas break week at Tres Perlas in Dominical. The house is designed to blend with the surrounding nature giving the feel of a cool, modern yet natural environment. The entire back of the house opens up onto a beautiful deck and pool overlooking the jungle and ocean aforiding true indoor/outdoor living with all the amenities. We all loved it. We watched monkeys play and parrots fly overhead and enjoyed amazing sunsets every night. The town of Dominical is a funky, cool surf village with a fantastic beach and a variety of great dining options. We took a surf lesson, canopy tour, kayak tour, and waterfall rappel all set up by you get and they did a great job. There also lots of spontaneous activities like hiking to a waterfall and natural swimming pool that was a lot of fun. Make sure to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The road up to Tres Perlas is steep and bumpy but you get used to it and it's just part of the deal in Costa Rica. Everyone is so friendly and helpfull. I can't wait to return. Enjoy!

Tres Perlas = Pure Bliss!!!
Tres Perlas is absolutely wonderful. What an awesome feeling to be up in the canopy with views of the ocean. We had such a wonderful time searching for different wildlife with our morning coffee; a pair of green macaws, toucans, and the elusive howler monkey. We could hear them but never quite got to see them. The house is absolutely stunning, clean lines, open floor plan, and plenty of room. The open concept living room deck and pool area was a huge hit with everyone. There are so many fabulous things to do in the area, we ran out of time. Looking forward to going back and staying again at Tres Perlas!

Amazing Vacation Home is Fantastic Location
Hummingbirds buzzing by within reach, Butterflies fluttering by, lightning bugs blinking at night. Sitting on the deck or watching the sunset from the dinning room table was unforgettable. No other buildings within sight as you gaze over the jungle to the ocean. Cooling ocean breezes wafting into the house. Unique architecture and functional design. Super kitchen and BBQ area. And to top it off, a local waterfall to swim under and flip off the rope swing on the road to the house. Can't wait to come back soon.

Hilltop home with beautiful views
We spent a week in this home and loved it. Open living spaces combined with perfect outdoor temperatures make you feel part of the beautiful hillside jungle, while private bedrooms let you escape when you want to. Spent lots of time in the beautiful pool. Lots of hand crafted, local details to the house and furniture. Bring binoculars too! There is a route through the trees just beside the house that we called the "monkey highway" because the monkeys seem to migrate down the hillside in the morning and back up the hill in the afternoon. Bird watcher will also love the expansive view over the jungle canopy. Hope to stay here again some day!

Peaceful, secluded, coastal retreat with gorgeous treetop and Pacific Ocean views
My family of 4 spent a week in this custom designed/built retreat in the Costa Rican hills in Dominical.  The common spaces in this home are cozy while allowing one to truly live outdoors in comfortable Costa Rican temperatures.  The bedrooms are private, each with a custom bath, to relax in comfort.  The monkeys are literally swinging from the trees surrounding the house, while toucans and other tropical birds fly by. Nearby Domincal offers world class surfing as well as laid back places to eat, shop and do yoga.  We cannot wait to return!
