My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Toucan Alley this past January for ten wonderful days; from the minute we arrived on a late Wednesday night Neil made us feel welcome and went out of his way to get us settled in after a long day of traveling from the cold Northeast. We were immediately captivated by the beautiful accommodations. The home is decorated and designed to put you immediately at ease….but the best was yet to come. We awoke the next morning to the sound of Howler monkeys and the jungle coming to life around us within our own private 16 acres! As we took our first glance out from our master bedroom suite, words cannot describe the surrounding beauty and the awe inspiring blue Pacific, from our 180 degree panoramic view. My wife and I have had the privilege of traveling to many beautiful places but truly cannot think of a place that had more to offer in sheer beauty and diversity of things to do. We are typically very active people and love to explore the different places that we visit….but for the first time we really never felt the need to leave our accommodations at Toucan Alley, as it had everything we could ask for in its relaxing awe inspiring location. We did take an excursion on horseback up to Nauyaca Falls which was amazing and visited two of the many national parks and beaches…but were most happy just to stay in our wonderful Villa looking out over our jungle paradise and relaxing in the infinite pool. Thanks again Neil for always being available when called upon but also respecting our privacy which is what we truly desired most. Costa Rica is a magical place which we look forward to returning to many times in the future.

Looking for a great getaway without breaking the bank?

Casa Dakota, located in jungle-laden mountains of southern Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline, is an ideal vacation villa for honeymooners, couples and parents that are searching for outstanding travel value in the tropics.

Combining convenience and privacy -- the nearest stores and beaches are less than 15 minutes by car -- Casa Dakota features 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, a wraparound infinity swimming pool with bar, plenty of outdoor grilling, dining and lounging space, and a private entrance with parking. A maximum of 4 guests are allowed to stay at the house.

In addition, there is air conditioning in the living room and bedroom. Combined with the cool ocean and mountain breezes, the temperature at Casa Dakota is pretty close to perfect.

The infinity pool is fantastic. It wraps all the way across the front of the house and behind the bedroom wall. There’s a shallow end for kids, as well as plenty of deeper space to swim laps. A pair of sunken barstools offer a pinpoint location to soak in some sunshine while enjoying a frosty drink. The area is teeming with wildlife, so it’s normal to see toucans, parrots, hawks and maybe even monkeys while you’re chillin’ poolside.

There are some really nice fishing spots nearby, so cooking up fresh catch is pretty simple on the built-in barbeque by the pool. Inside in the kitchen, there’s a large countertop for prepping and serving meals. The kitchen is fully equipt with an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot and blender.

If you’re traveling with an additional guest or child, there is a pull-down Murphy bed in the living room, as well as a comfortable couch and sofa chair. The villa does come with wireless internet, satellite television, housekeeping, and a washer and dryer.

Last but not least is the master bedroom. From the king-sized bed, you can look out past the pool, through the jungle canopy and toward the ocean. It’s pretty neat! There is also a walk-in shower and 2 sinks in the en-suite bathroom.

The Dominical area is go-to spot for the adventurous traveler. There are countless waterfalls to discover, trails to explore, waves to surf, animals to photograph and people to meet. Recently, some excellent new restaurants have opened in the cities of Dominical and Uvita -- Casa Dakota is 15 minutes from each city -- so the food and drink options are limitless.

And by reserving your vacation villa with property management, you’ll receive assistance from our entire professional staff, from rental car and tour planning to in-home meal and massage services. A member of our team will meet your group at a predetermined spot near Dominical and escort you to the villa for check-in, allowing for a seamless and joyful travel experience. For us, proper communication with our clients is a major focus of what we do.

So we’ll see you soon at Casa Dakota, a fabulous place in paradise that’s perfect on the eyes and easy on your wallet.
